Speech & Language Therapy for Autistic Children in Dubai
Helping your child connect, communicate and be understood — through words, pictures or devices — whatever works for them.
Communication That Fits Your Child
Communication is the foundation of connection, learning and independence. Our speech and language therapists start with a thorough assessment of how your child understands and expresses language, then build a plan around their strengths and motivation.
Whether your child is speaking, emerging or non-speaking, we focus on functional, meaningful communication — so they can ask for what they need, share what they love and be understood by the people around them.

How We Support Communication
Every area of communication, supported by qualified speech and language therapists.
Expressive Language
Building words, sentences and the ability to request, comment and tell.
Receptive Language
Understanding words, instructions and questions in everyday situations.
AAC Support
Picture systems and speech-generating devices for non-speaking children.
Feeding & Oral-Motor
Support for mealtime difficulties, oral-motor skills and picky eating.

Support for Bilingual Families
Dubai is wonderfully multilingual, and many of the families we support speak more than one language at home. Being bilingual does not cause language difficulties and does not confuse autistic children.
We help you keep your home language alive while building communication, and we coach you on simple, powerful ways to create language opportunities throughout the day.

Frequently Asked Questions
My child is non-speaking. Can speech therapy still help?
Absolutely. Communication is much more than spoken words. For non-speaking and minimally speaking children, our speech and language therapists build functional communication using gestures, picture systems and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) such as picture exchange or speech-generating devices. Research shows AAC supports — rather than replaces — the development of speech.
What is the difference between a speech delay and autism?
A speech delay means language is developing later than expected but the underlying social-communication skills are intact. In autism, the differences are broader — affecting back-and-forth interaction, play and social understanding, not just words. An assessment is the only reliable way to tell them apart, which is why we recommend a full evaluation if you have concerns.
We are a bilingual family. Will therapy confuse my child?
No — being bilingual does not cause or worsen language difficulties, and we never advise families to drop their home language. Children with autism can learn more than one language. Our therapists support your family’s languages and help you create rich communication opportunities at home.
Do you help with feeding and picky eating?
Yes. Many autistic children have feeding and oral-motor challenges linked to sensory sensitivities or motor skills. Our therapists assess oral-motor function and can work alongside occupational therapy to gently expand your child’s diet and build comfortable mealtime routines.
How often will my child need speech therapy?
It depends on your child’s needs and goals identified at assessment. Some children attend weekly, others more often. We also coach parents so communication practice continues every day at home — which is where the biggest gains usually happen.
