Parent Training & Coaching
You are your child’s most important teacher. We give you the confidence and the strategies to make every day count.
The Multiplier in Your Child’s Progress
Therapy sessions are powerful, but children spend most of their lives at home and out in the world with you. Parent training, led by a BCBA, equips you with the same evidence-based strategies your child’s therapists use — so learning continues around the clock.
This isn’t about adding pressure or turning you into a therapist. It’s about giving you practical tools, confidence and support so the hardest moments feel more manageable and the everyday moments become opportunities to grow.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is parent training in ABA?
Parent training is structured coaching, led by a BCBA, that teaches you the same evidence-based strategies your child’s therapists use. You learn how to encourage communication, respond to challenging behaviour and build skills during everyday routines — so progress doesn’t stop when a therapy session ends.
What is the difference between a meltdown and a tantrum?
A tantrum is usually goal-driven — a child wants something and will often stop once the situation changes. A meltdown is an involuntary response to feeling overwhelmed, often by sensory input or big emotions, and is not about getting something. They need very different responses, and we coach you to tell them apart and support your child through each.
Can parent training really make a difference?
Yes — research consistently shows that involving parents amplifies a child’s progress. You spend far more time with your child than any therapist does, so the strategies you use at home, at the supermarket and at bedtime have an enormous impact. Parent training turns those everyday moments into learning opportunities.
Do you support siblings too?
Yes. Brothers and sisters are an important part of family life, and they often have their own questions and feelings. Our coaching includes practical ideas for supporting siblings, encouraging positive play and keeping family relationships strong.
Do I need my child to be in therapy with you to join parent training?
Not necessarily. While parent training works beautifully alongside your child’s ABA, speech or OT programme, we also support parents who simply want practical, expert guidance. Book a consultation and we’ll recommend the right starting point for your family.
