School Readiness Program in Dubai
Preparing your child for the classroom with confidence — the routines, skills and support that make starting school a success.
Ready for the Classroom, in Every Way
Starting school is a huge milestone — exciting and, for many autistic children, a big change. Our school readiness program focuses on the practical, everyday skills that help a child settle, cope and learn in a classroom, so the transition feels far less daunting.
We build these skills gradually and playfully, then work alongside your child’s school to make sure the support that works at Bloom follows them through the classroom door.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does “school readiness” actually mean?
School readiness is about the foundational skills a child needs to cope and learn in a classroom — sitting and attending for short periods, following group instructions, transitioning between activities, separating from a parent, and managing self-care like toileting. It is much more than academics.
At what age should we start preparing for school?
It varies, but many families begin preparing a year or so before their child is due to start nursery or school. This gives time to build skills gradually and without pressure. We assess your child and recommend a realistic timeline based on where they are now.
Do you help with toileting before school?
Yes. Toileting independence is a common requirement and a frequent worry for parents. Our school readiness work can include a structured, BCBA-guided toileting plan, and we also offer a dedicated Toileting Support Program for children who need more focused help.
Will you liaise with my child’s school?
Where it’s helpful and you consent, yes. We can share strategies, recommendations and transition plans with your child’s school or nursery so the same supports follow them into the classroom, making the move smoother for everyone.
What if my child isn’t ready by their start date?
Every child develops at their own pace, and we’ll always be honest with you. If more time or support is needed, we’ll help you plan the next steps — whether that’s a phased start, additional support, or talking through options with the school.
